Depends upon the person. Some kids wear them at 8 or nine. I know a 12 year old who wears them. Many, many teenagers wear them.
Some points to tell your parents:
1) You won't be prone to losing them.
2) It will improve your grades.
3) You can't break them.
The only secret to wearing contacts is KEEP THEM CLEAN.

I got contacts when I was 16 and it was a big responsibility...it is much more than just sticking them in your eyes everyday...you must keep them clean and they rip very easily. There are so many different frames for glasses out now I'm sure you'll find a pair that looks great (you'll need glasses too even if you get contacts). Try the frameless glasses, or "drilled frames"...it looks like you aren't wearing any glasses at all! I have them and they're wonderful! We are our own worst critic, so I'm sure you don't look as bad as you think you do wearing glasses.

usually any junior point (under 18) MMA and Kickboxing fits, besides as boxing all require necessary secure practices. (subsequently the Olympic Boxing has head secure practices, by way of fact the contestants are not consistently 18) To me it relatively is a especially good indicator of 18 being the age the place comprehensive touch without secure practices is an selection, and that's usually at a expert point. (novice kickboxing has padding on ft) To me it relatively is a sound and functional age drawback. All different scientific reasons and such aside, actually it relatively is an around the board style of subject, and that's what i could choose. undergo in innovations getting hit with head secure practices or pads nonetheless harm a good bit, it extremely is not like the $h*t tickles whilst somebody blasts you interior the top once you're donning head secure practices. All "instructions found out" approximately protection and such are available those early years jointly as totally padded up.. by way of fact as I mentioned, it nonetheless hurts. it relatively is in comparison to you ignore keeping your head once you have headgear on. or you ignore blocking off leg kicks by way of fact the guy is donning shin pads. 18 may be the age i could say it relatively is authorized, considering it relatively is especially plenty generic around the board often already.

If you parents don't think you need glasses then tell them to take you to the eye doc and see. I started contact at about 13 but that is also when I started wearing glasses.

There isn't a perfect age to get contacts. I had them at 13 and shouldn't have, I was very irresponsible at that age and ended up with a Corneal Ulcer due to not caring for them properly. I was lucky not to lose my vision. Just be responsible if you get them- YOU HAVE TO TAKE THEM OUT EVERY NIGHT! Please don't make the mistake I did, it's bad. Good luck!

I think 14 is a good age where a kid is responsible enough to take care of their eyes and start with contacts.

Most kids younger than high school age are not mature enough to take care of contacts properly. So high school age for most.

why would your parents not believe you if you can't see. i think most schools offer to check your eyes for you. if you are old enough to type then you should be able to put contacts in.
