Absolutely,
But the wars that have been fought have not been fought for religion. They have been fought for political means. The current War has almost nothing to do with religion, other than a means to recruit and Indoctrinate young people into doing the will of over reaching old people who want the absolute Glory of Ultimate Power. As the cliche' goes," Power corrupts, Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely".

I was watching a doco tonight which claimed that the Muslims believed in Jesus and Moses as prophets and that the God is the same for all three religions but they have a problem with the way the old and new testaments were written. They say that events were not recorded acurately and that some parts were removed.
The show did not explain the current conflicts but only some of the theory behind it. I think it was called "Breaking the Code of Islam" or something similar.

Incorrect.
The Jew believed in the Triune God as the Christians do now. The references are all through-out the Old Testament.
Unfortunetly, many have twisted the faith to reject the Triune God. They especially are offended by God making Himself incarnate to save the world from their sins. They just don't believe Jesus was THE MESSIAH.
The Muslims took a similar road as the Jews. They also do not believe and have set up their own forms of laws and salvation.
So, what makes everyone so mad? It is that we all realize that ONLY ONE can be correct. The errant are always trying to make false accusations of the Truth, which makes those who have the Truth mad. The ones who hold on to the Truth are also misrepresenting the errant which makes the errant mad.
And so the world continues to turn.

1. Allah is definitely NOT the Jewish God.
An arm will not fight an arm. God's people will not fight God's people. This is rather common sense. If both are God's people, Isreal wouldn't have been fighting wars with the Arabic Nations. Neither will the Arabs hate the Jews because of the same God and they would be one family enjoying peace.
2. There are prophets to this day in Jewish context.
There is no such thing as the 'Last Prophet' to the Jewish context. Prophets still exist in this modern day but they do not do great miracles of the 'Days of Moses' like parting of the Red Sea. Doing miracles requires higher calling and annointing. Refer to Exodus 4:3-9 where Moses was annointed to perform miracles. (Koran's version may vary) Prophecy is still spoken because God is still living. Duh! If let's say, your father sets rules for you to behave yet you do not understand certain statements he made because there are exceptions in life, do we approach him for an answer or do we make assumptions based on the rules he has last given? You too can be a prophet and heard from God if you seek Him with all your heart, soul and mind. You do not need to seek mediums or prophets to know your directions in life, God literally tells you.
3. Different beliefs system.
Jews and Islam have different teachings and beliefs. Islam will convert nations by ways of peace such as treaties but if a nation refuses to convert, Islam fights the nations who refuse to convert into Islam by force (Jihad). Terrorists had made use of the concept of Jihad to manipulate the wrong teachings so do not mix Jihad with terrorism. Jews on the other hand, is exclusive to the Hebrew people. They cannot touch Gentiles (non-Jews) because they are God's people who are required to be pure and holy hence they are required to do cleansing once they touched a Gentile. Those who are Gentiles are required to circumsize if they want to join the Jews as their religion. As for Christianity, anyone and everyone can join this religion by saying the Salvation Prayer of accepting Jesus as the Lord and Saviour. Christians do not force nations to join Christianity but the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) states that Christians should make nations join Christianity by means of winning hearts.

God of the Jews is the God of Christians, but the Jews are expecting Messiah to come. For Christians, He already has, as Jesus.
In other words, our beliefs aren't the same.

Just so you know.... Jaweh and God are the same one. Just and american name "God" and a Jewish name Jaheh,Jewish name for God. But allah is not God. They do not teach or believe in Jesus who is the son of God. Today many Jews are realizing that Jesus is the son of God and accepting Him as their savior.
All of those who accept God and His son Jesus are wiser than you give them credit for. A rose is a rose is a rose, but there is only one Almighty God and one Jesus.

Yes, yes they should. It wouldn't be the first thing that the children of God should have been wiser about, though. Holy crusades, witch burnings, and the like are just a few more.

They should. But where did the should come from? God IS (I am) not I should, or you should, certainly not the children should.
Ask; what is, and them move to what you would like it to be, and then help that come about. Families fight because they are close. The closer we come to others, the more difficult it is to cover your own faults, so we project them onto others. Who are you fighting with, or trying hard not to?
