There is no reason to spend money on MS Office, you can get Open Office for free and it is 100% legal. What can be better then that legal and free, it is a good deal, it is 99% like excell.

Excel is only available in Office packages. i.e. Microsoft Office Basic. It will run you about $149. Your only other option is downloading it. Be careful tho, people like to put viruses in software files.

I use OpenOffice, it's free and can read, edit and save as Excel format (among many others).

It's not Excel, but it is compatible and free
