Rip out my finger and toes, pull me teeth, set me on fire.
I will never do it.

All organised religions think they are the right one, and think all others are not to be taken seriously. Organised religion works on the oppression of its followers; their main concern is first and foremost to pacify and force into submission people who actually buy in to the concept behind organised religions.
But the idea behind religions can be fine and dandy; it is the interpretation of the message and the way those who preach it that turns a possibly good idea into a product for mass consumption. Sacred texts are distorted and misinterpreted to fit the viewpoint of those who wish to achieve power through the submission of the minions who follow organised religions.
Some organised religions appear to be more oppressive than others. Again, I don't understand how any self-respecting woman could ever conciously believe in any type of organised religion; their message often quote women as being without souls of responsible for the vils of humanity, and whatnot. Islam religion is just more violently so, obviously turning women into passive slave-like pets for males. I think women who have been oppressed all their lives, living in a society which prevents the liberty of women to begin with, will obviously "fall" for such a religion, more because of the fatal result of NOT following such a religion in the first place.
They have a choice; either submit or be killed. Faced with such a harsh choice with no real place for a gray area, I believe most women will "gladly" (ahem) choose the path of the oppressive religion.
I am an agnostic, I am married to an atheist, and I still can't believe people still buy into the whole organised religion gimmick.

i swear i feel sorry for you guys who really believe that women are oppressed in Islam, i am a muslim women my self, and you have to learn about it and live it to see how free you really are. I know that all of you think that my precious religion lets man hit me...wrrrrrong the maximum that my religion permits a man to hit is with his finger and on the body not on the face and still gently...that comes after the husband comes up to his wife and talk to her, if she doesnt listen he shall sleep in a diffrent room maybe she will feel bad and take his advice and the third option is the use of the finger.
and sorry if you think a free women is a women that shows her body, and drinks and picks up guys... then my feelings of sorrow towards you just increased.
there is no history that denies how much women were liberated when islam arrived, women were prostetute, Islam stopped that...plz read history...everyone, jewish christian buddist whatever believe in that it is a fact.
dont judge the car by the driver... yeah maybe some muslims mistreat Islam, but that is not how islam treat me
I am living the best life a women can... i have a biology bachelor and going to do my masters, i am married to a great Man...and most importantly i know that i am on the right path.
plz read some of the reasons why non-muslims became muslims and then say yes or no.

Not on a bet. As a women, I would never convert to a "religion" that treated women as Islam does. What would be the point? Faith should empower and uplift. Also, as just a human being. The idea of converting to a religion like that makes my skin crawl.

***would any one of you , specially ladies willingly convert to islam?***
No,
to me something as important as God should come with undeniable, verifiable proof. All of the religions are mere delusion, none are provable. Religion is mostly a collection of statements that can not be verified, proved or disproved. Amazingly that is exactly how confidence artists work. Yeah right, work for me all your life and when you die I'll pay you.
Sure won't get many complaints doing it like that. The pie in the sky part after you die is utter nonsense. Thanks but no thanks, away with them all.
Have a blessed day.

I did convert to Islam and I'm a woman. The status of women in Islam is a high one. Because we chose to cover ourselves and because we don't have to work to make a living you say we're oppressed. Any christian stay at home mom is viewed as great, and loving and caring for her children. Any Muslim stay at home mom is viewed as oppressed and hidden. And because I don't dress so complete strangers can see my private parts, I'm viewed as oppressed. No, I chose to not work not just so I can sit in my house, I go in my car and go see my friends and shop for clothes and grocery shop. I'm actually away from my home more than I'm in it. So please do some research before you make generalizations.

It is a fast growing religion because they do what Christians won't. They offer conversion to their faith while most Christians would not share if someone openly ask them to.
The window dressing of Islam is very appealing but after some studying you understand what it is. Most people would be unable to accept they made a mistake

I would not convert to Islam. In all fairness, I would also not convert to Scientology, Satanism, Judaism, Mormonism, Jehovas Witness, or any other religion. I am happy and secure in my own beliefs.
