I would blame her 10 children and 40 grandchildren for allowing this to happen. I think that in our society we tend to over-blame the authorities so that we do not take any responsibilites for our actions.

The council should have given her a letterbox and her kids should be ashamed. What a nasty family

We do not know the whole story here, so don't be too quick to judge. On the surface it appears and indeed is, a horrendous ordeal for an elderly lady. There seems to be a raft of incidents that may have contributed.

They definetly should have given her a letter box. But the family should hang their heads in shame and should be held responsible.

Ohh - how disgraceful! I would also blame her children first, then her grandchildren. Obviously, they didn't care about her. It's a crying shame.

You're right. Why didn't even one out of the 10 kids notice that their mother was starving to death?

That's apalling.
Everyone concerned should be held responsible, including her children - did none of them check on her? Shame on them.

She was hated that much by her uncaring family and they call themselves human I suppose.
At least the council housed her.

Erm sorry but she is to blame if she wasn't feeding herself and not getting help.... htere is always someone to turn to in this society. But her family is more to blame than the council.
