go out side and gather the different shape leaves and the colored leaves and get wax paper and Iron them for the children. or get little pumpkins and let them paint the faces on them

if u go to walmart and go to arts and crafts section , there is a couple of books with things that children can do , they are easy and very fun , I have bought several of them , i use them in my sunday school class of 2 to 6 yr olds.

Do the basic autumn leaves collection thing... collect conkers (horsechestnuts)
Do leaf rubbings,you know rub a crayon onto a piece of paper on top of the leave.
Leaf prints, dip the leaves into paint then print them on to paper...
