Im looking to Ski in California or close by arounf mid-late November this year. Is Big Bear resorts the best bet for a good chance of snow at that time or is there a higher resort?

Big Bear has on and off years and doesn't always have good skiiing early in the season (my dad has a cabin there). You're more likely to have good snow at Mammoth. But if you want the best skiing experience and you won't have to question if there's gonna be snow or not, go to northern California to Heavenly, outside of Reno. It lives up to its name.

no big bear was always like the cheasy ski resort, the one where fake snow was often seen, no biggie, at least from what i recall as a kid. the only good one that everyone always craves to go is the Heavenly Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe. everyone goes there during the winter. its up north of california close to reno. i ve been there only once and it was beautiful, its huge and the snow is perfect...and not fake thats for sure!

The Big Bear resorts will definitely be blowing snow at that time even if it hasn't snowed. Bear Mtn. has always been my favorite resort.

I doubt if Big Bear will have snow by then, and if they do it will most likely be man made. Your best bet is either Mammoth or Lake Tahoe.

My friends and I go to Tahoe every year. AMAZING. I've been to Bear, Mammoth, Mountain High. They all pale in comparison. We stay in Squaw Valley which is where they had the winter Olympics back in the 50's.
