Shock value, it gets people's attention sometimes.

I think it is easier to cuss. For some people, they can't Find better words to describe their thought. All cuss words are usually used as adjectives, "this really ****stinks, or I can't believe you just ****did that". I think it shows how uneducated-educated people are. Because we have so many different (more fun words) in our language that could be used instead. Also its fun to not cuss in a heated argument. Because you use big "fancy"words(as some may say) and nine times out of ten the other person has now idea what you just said to them. Like"that was a brainless thing to do, You are a real dolt, you know, i think people that cuss are really just moronic, uninformed, misguided, unenlightened, unconversant, and vulgar know it all's. " (all those word I just used mean the same thing). And the insult sounds worse than if I were to just cuss at them.

in my opinion, certain words are vulgar only because of the value society has placed on them through history. So profanity is relative. Depending on the person using the language a vulgar word may or may not be vulgtar

Most people start to swear when they are young and in school!
They do this because they want to be heard, and also want to get in with the crowd! I always thought that it was/is very disrespectful not only to others but also to your self when profanity is used! But the people that has been doing it for such a long time had allowed it to grow into a habit. Sometimes they are not aware that they are talking that way because they are so accustom to it!

The only people who give profanity its power are people such as you. How can one sound deem to be more offensive than another. They are all just words the offensive is on your part. Everyone uses words that have in the past or are currently deemed vulgar.

For me it's more of a bad habit than anythig else. Everyone in my family growing did it, so when I'm comfortable around people I will use a lot of profanity. However, if I'm in a new or uncomfortable situation, I never use profanity at all.

They are just words. It is really about the intention behind the words. If someone uses no curse words in a sentence but still manages to say hateful things it is just as hurtful. Don't give words so much power over you. Recently I had a guy show up on my blog and write a nasty comment about me and my daughter. He ended it with "blessings from Jesus" He didn't use one curse word in the whole thing but it hurt still. I have other people show up and leave comments with curse words but with no intention to hurt me. Guess which I would rather have?Spread love and light up the world.

People of lesser intelligence must resort to vulgar language as they lack the ability to find words to express their feelings without it. Many people think it will make their point more definitively stated as well. I for one, think people would get better answers if they were able to make their point without the foul language and name calling, but what is one woman's opinion here anyway?

People curse because they are used to it. My mother couldn't knock it out of me in 15 years, and I've heard all the bull about
we do it to be tuff, and cool, blah, blah blah.
No matter how much good I talk. People always wanT to harp
on the fact cursing is a part my lifes experience. I do try to
do better. And if someone politely asks me not to curse, I
will stop. But if they come at indignantly, like this makes me
less of Christian than them, I will cuss their motheryouknow-
whatin a## out!

Lack of a real message. I find that people who have the least to contribute to a discussion are the ones who use the most profanity.
A little hot sauce added to a stew give it zest. Put the whole bottle in and it becomes inedible.

Vulgarity, when I use it, is my last ditch effort of being heard.
I sincerly repent of them and am heartily sorry for the times when I resorted to such language.
Unfortunetly, many use vulgarity as their only way to be heard.
The person that does that is truely showing their immaturity and lack of wisdom.
