Take a hand pump filled with mosquito spray (insecticide) and close all the windows and doors. Wear a gas mask and spray the whole place you live and quickly come out and go on a stroll for 2 hours and come back and open the windows & put the fan to get rid of the strong smell of the insecticide and then close the windows again to prevent re-entry of fleas. The fleas in the room would have died and you simply clean them off.

Try using an insecticide outside around the property. Granular works best.
Buy a flea collar, cut it into pieces and place a piece in your vaccum, every time you use it. This will kill any fleas that are caught.
Continue using powders and/or sprays and eventually the fleas will be eliminated.
