How do you enjoy different types of cheese :) ?

Question

I adore cheese and would love to have new ideas of recipes and different ways to use it.

Which ones do you prefer?

Do you use them to cook, to make sandwiches, salads...what?

I prefer cream cheese...YUM!!!

Cream Cheese-Lemon Pound Cake


1 yellow cake mix*
8 ounces cream cheese
4 eggs
3 ounces lemon gelatin powder
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
2 tablespoons lemon zest

Place the cream cheese in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until cream cheese is light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Blend together the gelatin and cake mix; add alternately with the milk, in two or three additions, to the cream cheese mixture. Beat just until smooth, do not overmix. Stir in the extract and lemon zest.

Grease and flour a tube or bundt pan. Pour in the mix and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 50-55 minutes, checking after 50 minutes. Serve this alone, or, if you prefer, make a thin glaze to pour over top from confectioner's sugar and lemon juice.

*Use regular size cake mix, non-pudding type. Grate lemon peel for zest, careful not to include any of the white part of the peel.

There are sooooo many things you can do with different kinds of cheeses.I currently live in Greece,so cheese is used in a lot of foods here.First and foremost,feta cheese in a tomato and cucumber salad....olive oil,oregano and feat cheese....mmmm!Then theres the hard yellow cheese for pastas and rizotos.The soft yellow cheese for soufles,pizzas...Theres one greek dish where you put beef meat,different cheeses,spices,and a little tomato in aluminum foil and stick it in the oven..its great!Then theres that one hard yellow cheese you have as a side appetizer with wine that delicious!I couldnt live without cheese.It goes with everything!You have a great weekend to..bye!

I love cheese! I use them on pizzas, sandwiches, toast and crackers and in pasta bakes, savory pastries and so much more too.

I like to nibble some cheeses at times like Kraft Cheddar ( Australian cheese), Babybel and white cheddar ( British).

I sometimes melt Halloumi ( greek cheese) on toast with a slice of tomatoe, Anchor cheddar is also great on toast and lancashire cheese too.

Savory pastries are nice when you fill them up with cream cheese and spinach- real tasty!

Here in Italy we have a wide assortment of cheeses.
I have a lot of recipes with cheese on my website.

You can try for example, some cheese (fontina, emmenthal, gorgonzola) melted over a slice of polenta.

Pour some honey over a slice of pecorino romano and sprinkle with crumbled walnuts and almonds.
