I have a scanner. I have seen many people scan with PDF. How do I do that?

I have a Canoscan LIDE 20. I want to know how can I get my scanned documents to PDF format? and Adobe Acrobat Reader format?

If you go to your scnanner's setup utility, it will give you an option of what file type to save the scan as. Some scanners even allow this setup on the scanner itself, via a small screen and options button. If your scanner does not have this capability, there are a few programs you can buy to import image files into PDF documents, such as Adobe Acrobat and a few others.

I went on and looked at the ad for your scanner. It looks like you have the capability to scan into PDF's, but you'll need to do it from the software that came with your scanner. It's probably as simple as setting up the file type before you scan from somewhere on your toolbar menu, or using the save as function.

Scan and save to PDF you mean? If so, PDF Writer must comes with the scanner or need to buy one.

It's an open source printer driver called PDF Creator that generates PDF format documents. I've been using it for several years.

that depends on your product software features if it supports directly saving it to PDF format.if it is not supported,use macromedia flashpaper... scan and save the image, print it using flashpaper printer to save into PDF form. alternately you can also use adobe acrobat 7.

When you open the program to scan, there should be a drop down for you to select the type of doucument you want the scan to be.
