I would like to buy a deep fryer to use in my very small studio apartment to prepare foods in quantities suitable for one person. Space is at a premium. What available model would you recommend?

I have a T-Fal which I love! The Small Fry Daddy's are good too from what my friends tell me. Happy Cooking!

whatever type you buy should have the heating coil that sits directly into the oil.It heats up faster and the oil does not have a big temp drop which can cause foods to become greasy.Mine is a Ultrex flash fryer that i bought at hsn.Its awsome, allfoods are crispy and NOT greasy.I do not recommend fry daddys at all

Presto Fry Daddy Electric Deep Fryer
The Presto Fry Daddy makes it easy to fix one to four servings in a short period of time Four cup oil capacity Maintains perfect frying temperature automatically Snap on lid allows to store your oil for the next use Handy scoop(included) for draining your foods. They usually cost about $25 and are sooooo handy.

just use a pot with oil in it. it would not take up the space of a deep fryer and can be used for other things too.

HSN has alot of varieties that are good. (When you shop on HSN there are customer reviews at the bottom of the description of the product so you can see what works and what doesn't.)
