i was away for two months, and when i came back my mum had been playing about with cyber shot veiwer. for some reason, all of the photos before a certain date have a copy (only in CS veiwer) that is displayed as a red question mark. its the same size as the original and i have no idea what to do, and my mum cant remember what she did.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I haven't worked with Cybershot viewer before, but if all else fails I would uninstall and reinstall the program. Here's a link to some FAQ about the viewer.

Actually, I just found your question on that site:
===================================
"The thumbnail image appears as a ? mark and the image cannot be displayed.

If you move or rename a registered folder, thumbnails of images included in that folder will be displayed as ? marks. To properly display those images, select the Update Database on the Tools menu, and register the applicable folder again."

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

Download it free in here:
