The shop liberty in London has a great box of chocolates called 'dealdy sins' ... each of the chocalates is encases in a lovely ring type box with the name of the sin (e.g.lust, envy etc...). I've always thought it would be a great idea to put a ring in one of these and put it into the centre of the box....propose when he opens it ... how could he refuse! Good luck :-)

You may want to propose, but do you want to marry him? Does he want to marry you? You could always try "are you ever going to ask me to marry you?" - at least you will find out his thoughts on marriage without you actually asking him to marry you, thus avoiding the risk of you being turned down (with the feelings of rejection that may go along with that).

Why would you want to propose to someone who doesn't want to marry you? If he hasn't asked, then that's what it means. He knows that guys are supposed to do the asking and if he hasn't, that means he's not ready.

Discuss it with him that you are ready to get married and if he can't get his act together, dump him.

Ask him when the next 29th of February will be, because you have something important you want to ask him. If he runs away you know you're on a loser, but hopefully he will look at you with joy in his eyes, and you will know it's ok to pop the question. Good luck!

Let him do it. If he wants to marry you he would be a man and do it himself. Why would you want to marry someone that doesn't have the guts to ask you?

Well, one is to say "Congratulations, you're going to be a daddy!"

Just kidding. Try saying "Think we'll be getting married pretty soon?" Hint around and let him ask.

I would just get him on his own in a private environment where its just the two of you and just ask him outright. Make sure he isn't drunk, tired or in a bad mood. The best way is to be direct.
