Cats are so tough, don't worry. We had our little female done. The vet told us to keep her quiet for a couple days, don't let her run around. We put her in a crate when we were not home for her protection. She forced herself through a corner that she was able to get through. She never did any damage to herself! And after she squeeze through that tight opening, we just let her do her own thing while recovering. She's fine.

We have three cats and they are all spayed and one is neutered. All were rescue cats from an animal shelter. I always wonder if the other cats were able to get homes too. Spaying is very responsible! Good for YOU!

Cats come to a selection on their very own who they like and do unlike. A spayed woman is alot calmer cat than an unneutered male. If the male is actual laid lower back (no longer favourite for an unneutered male) then they'd get alongside superb after some conferences yet while he's the common territorial unneutered male then the subject concerns you would be able to desire to have may be him being over excited and agressive w/the female (even nonetheless she is spayed). The pal would desire to have had the male neutered by a million 300 and sixty 5 days previous. Has he began spraying urine around the abode yet? maximum do by the time they attain a 300 and sixty 5 days to a million a million/2 years previous. Neutering will help that and additionally will make him a plenty calmer cat. If he has no longer began spraying yet, the creation of yet another cat into the enjoyed ones would make him start up spraying as a territorial difficulty. nicely good success to you with the cat introductions. it is recommended to start at first assembly w/your cat in a great cage for the completed time you're there. That way they are able to get to comprehend one yet another with none struggling with, chasing, etc.

Cats recover quickly after spaying, and everything I've heard about personality changes are positive things. Unspayed females can be a bit obnoxious when they're in heat. Neutered and spayed cats tend to be a little more easy-going....not to mention she won't be clammering to get outside to mate.

There are risks associated with any surgical procedure, but the instance of cats suffering debilitating injuries or death is pretty low. And a cat as young as yours should be fine, and recovery time minimal. Just make sure she's comfortable, and don't encourage playing or jumping for 7-10 days following the surgery.

And kudos to you for getting her spayed. Some people are irresponsible.

Your cat will be just fine and due to the spaying, she will live a longer healther life. When you have a cat spayed, it improved their urinary tract. Less complications later on. With all of my cats I have never seen any personality change from the surgery. I have 2 female spayed and 1 male nutered. The girls are 11 years old and the male is 10. They are wonderful children but now they are getting older. I hope to have them all around at least 8 more years. Oh by the way, the girls are sisters and the male is one of theirs. We are just one big happy family.

The are absolutely no downsides to spaying a cat. I have never heard of a complication from spaying. Treat your little lady like a queen when she comes home, and don't mess with her scar. Follow the instructions from the vet very carefully.
She'll be fine. I have had lots of cats and they were all okay.

Chew on this has the best answer here. Spaying is the right thing to do. I've been owned by cats all my adult life and always had this surgery at 6 months.

I have two female sister cats in which I got spayded, my reasons were I wouldn't be able to afford that many cats, and the other reason is I would feel guilty about taking the kittens away from their mothers. I think it protects the cats from any diseases as cats tend to have them. You're cat will be just fine. and think of if you didn't get your cat spayded how many male cats would be hanging around your home spraying on your house and making it stink just to get your cat pregnant. You are doing the right thing please don't worry.

Your cat will be the same - maybe a little sore for a day or two but animals are very resilient and do not linger like humans. She'll be fine.
