I normally spout on in this forum about ignoring useby dates.

However, last night our friend gave me a bottle of beer he made.

I drank it, it tasted very strong, just like those old real ales you used to get in British pubs.

Anyway, afterwards when I was asking him when he made it, he couldn't remember but he knew it was in his previous house. His lived in his current house for 18 years.

I feel sick, my stomach is palatating, I'm running hot and cold and I feel really lethargic.

Shoudl I go sit in the bathroom ?

It's fine. There is nothing that can survive in beer that can make you sick. The Alcohol levels and the PH of the beer prevent bad microorganisms from living in the beer. You are probably just hungover.

It sounds like you have food poisoning.

Go and see a doctor.

Tell them exactly what happened.

Better to safe than sorry.

Are you sure this isn't a condition commonly known as 'a hangover' due to drinking too much beer, old or otherwise?
