Yes, I lost 5st a couple of years ago and started to gradually put some of it back on when I moved in with my boyfriend. It wasn't that we were eating badly, but I found that I was eating later at night so my body wasn't working off the calories before bed. I was also running at the gym and doing a lot more exercise, which builds muscle and therefore makes you gain weight (albeit in a good way - not just fat!). The best thing it to not buy "naughties" at the supermarket, and just put good things in the cupboards for when you're feeling hungry or bored. People often suggest buying miniature chocolate bars, but as they only sell in multipacks I'm not sure this is a good idea, as on a bad day I could probably eat most of them in one go!

People stop their diet or they stop exercising. YOu cannot do that! If you lose weight on 5 days at the gym switch over to 3. If you were taking 1200 calories to lose weight, switch to 1600. But you can't just go back and not expect that you will not gain back the weight.

Yep and more!! Because I missed out on so much I just binged and binged. That is why I do not diet any more (for the past ten years) and have not put weight on - in fact I have lost some. I eat what I want when I want and seem to eat less and more healthy things.

I lost 7½ stone in twelve months from Sep 2001 to Sep 2002. I went from 22½ stone down to 15 stone. I started to put it back on slowly over a 3 year period and in late 2005 had gone back to 19 stone.

I then threw the towel in and am now about 24 stone.

It was mad, one day in 2001 I just decided I'd had enough and was going to lose weight and that motivated me big time.

Since I started to put it back on I have wanted to lose it again but can't find the motivation from anywhere.

I'm trying to lose it again now but don't know how long it will last.

yes!i think its easy to lose weight but hard to maintain cos you think "well im skinny why do i need to be still dieting?"
i was able to diet again cos my friend lost a lot of weight cos she said my weight loss inspired her and she ended up skinnier than me!well, that was enough to kick my butt back into gear.
i try and eat healthy most the time and have a "bad"day once a week cos i find if i crave something and cant have it i end up eating 50 times more than i probably should hehe not so good.
plus i exercise so im more likely to want to eat healthy:)
Hang in there!I know its hard.good luck

I was on a diet and had an exercise regime, but I overdid it and ended up getting injured, and then I lost my dad so wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind to be dieting.

That is THE question to get one million answers!

Yes. It is where the name Yo,Yo dieting comes from!

Dieting in and of itself does not answer the issues that make you fat in the first place.

Me I just love eating foods that are bad for me. Fast food, samboosas, pepsi ....aaagh!

And there you have it. Do I have fun and get overweight or eat miniscule amounts of food and look like a super model? Eating and fun win hands down every time!!!!

Yes, I lost 21 lbs and put some of it back on. I went back to eating junk food and stopped drinking water. I have since lost 6 lbs so now only have 9 lbs to go.
