Just kidding. Anyone may answer

Do you think that God intervenes in this universe from time to time, or did he just create the world, set the wheels in motion, and step back put his hands behind his head and watch the show as it unfolds?

The Bible tells us God does both things, because He has two types of will: "active will" (where He reaches out and does something) and "permissive will" (where He permits things to happen).

We read about God's "active will" in such Scriptural passages as Romans 8:28, which says: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." This is proof that God actively reaches out and influences aspects of a believer's life in a positive way. Also, within Job Chapters 38-41, God Himself gives numerous examples of His "active will" that have gone on since the beginning of time.

Scripture also shows us God's "active will" is used against nations and non-believers, as well. Deuteronomy 28:15-68 extensively details God's various judgements promised to those who do not follow His commands, whether by believers or unbelievers. It is for good reason many Christians believe tragedies such as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina happened to America, since these things are listed within Deut. 28.

God's "permissive will" is usually seen when He wishes to punish a nation or person. The best description of God's "permissive will" in the NT can be found at Romans 1:18-32, which describes what happens when people refuse to believe He exists: the nation experiences a sequential fall into idolatry, then sexual immorality, then homosexuality, then all other forms of unrighteousness, as given in verses 29-31. (God's "active will" punishment of these people is described at Romans 2:5-9).

I hope this answers your question. Peace.

I think he has his angels intervene from time to time. There are still miracles everyday. And people have strange experiences too often for there not to be some intervention but I do not know that God personally touches things at this point.

Time to time!?!? I think that if he didn't take part nearly constantly, the earth would have been destroyed by now. What causes the earth to rotate? The waves to crash on the shore? What causes human life in the first place? No one can say for sure, and that's usually a pretty good indicator of where god is.

Good question: I can only speak from personal experience. God comes into my life all the time..I have ZERO doubt about that...I have 100's of stories that had to be GOD..there was no other answer.

The non-believers will say there is no way and Christians are just liars...we know different!

we the people are evil. thus it appears that god just laid back. I had a tumor in my ear. i asked that god would heal me before my operation. He made it disappear. Now tell me god isn't active. if he would help someone like me he must certainly be watching us. Another time I had a severe sickness that would not get better... even with the medicine..... i prayed that i would be better. The next day ... it was as if nothing happened.

The truth is .... god made us.. everything.... for him. If you got an ipod you wouldn't just sit around staring at it. You would listen to it because thats what is for. We as humans are for god to help.... that is why we are here.

Most people think (wrongly) that the universe holds itself together and is basically self supporting. The Bible teaches that God hold all things together and if for one second He stopped then you would have the "Big Bang". Only eternity will prove this to unbelievers.

GOD intervenes from the beginning of all the foundations were set,and because he loves us ,he uses interventions to help us get back to old relationship with adam ,eve.but ,we chose to get back on our own,and whatever it takes ,if by space expedetions, and more research just only to prove, that, "one day this world will discover a gate LED to heavens." shame on you world ( Christians as spiritual Israel and Israel -Israel we live with to this day ,and Muslims ) all of them know the true tale of the Holly bible '' book of Torah" in the Muslims book of Koran that tale of Babel when the king wanted to reach out space to GOD ,and in the end of that story "GOD confuse their tongue so there shall not be understanding among them or between them ''. Lets get back to book of HOLLY WORD OF GOD ,the Torah ,then look how far we have became so evil and easy to be blown by the lies of this world (evil ones) who works with the devil .

as the bible says "Gods plan is divine" thus meaning that he already knows he had a purpose for creating all. He knows what paths are going to cross with who and why ~ Jesus wants you to read the word to understand why things happen and to follow Gods word to handle your experiences with faith, hope and love.

It is not God that intervene, it's Jesus His son.
As christians after a prayer, ends up with: in Jesus' name we ask, amen.

God gave man the freewill as you know.

I think now he is watching us through a binocular. Because he is much careful about about his health. And he cant take the risk to stand in front of a polluted ball. Or he may be afraid of Israel's Cruz missile may be diverted and may hit the heaven.
