A song writer says Jesus started with prayers and end up with prayers and that prayer is the master's key.Prayer has power but not the power to beat people. The power to overthrow the obstacles and power to bring to existence what the enemy has snatched. The Lord Jesus ask us to pray without ceasing.

Prayer has immense power. God is waiting to work in our lives but He won't intervene unless we ask Him. I have seen prayer change hard people into loving people, seen addicts set free, seen people healed. Most people will say that pain and suffering are proof there is no God but I pray that God will help me grow through suffering, as the Bible states. I mean prayers do get answered, sometimes you have to go through hard times, keep praying, and come out the other side better than you went in. Prayer brings God into every situation, turn to Him first, place it in His hands, and watch how things work out.

Yes! As a christian I say: Prayer cahnges everything! Prayer is away to comunicate to God, it doesn't always means you have a request. The more we pray the more we become closer to God, God actually knows what our desire is, but we have to ask for it, it's like when you were a kid u wanted toys, but you never ask your dad, so your dad might sometimes buy u toys, n sometimes he woulf want to wait until u ask, n sometimes he would say no, for a good reason usually for your own good.
Prayer in the spirit gives us strength, because we know that humans are weak and sinners, so we must ask God to empower us by His spirit.
Why a lot of people don't feel the power of prayer is that they don't believe with all their heart, they just say ti in their mind without faith. You must trust God 100% in your life.

As an Occultist who has spent the majority of my life studying this amongst other things, I would say yes. Prayer, is simply the expression of ones Will. Whether it be used to contact a Deity or(more accurately), used to express the desire within oneself for something to occur, ultimately it is a tool for channeling the power of ones Will.
People seem to feel the need to allow themselves to be misled into assuming they have no "power" themselves, therefore needing instead, a symbol, a superior being to take the credit for the power of their will. Prayer is just a form of magic, dating back to the dawn of human sentience. Many have tried to take the credit away from humans by accrediting it to an external force, usually a 'God'. It has been happening since the first consciousness of Self evolved and will continue until we eventually transcend our need for materialism and outward excuses, eventually realising ourselves for the Gods we truly are.

Prayer is a tool given to us by God to communicate with Him. I know it works, I have seen it so many times in my own life and in the lives of those around me. However, if want something from God, then we have to be prepared to give something back to Him - ie live according to his rules and guidance as set out in the Bible. Man has chosen to force the real, true God out, and to do exactly as he pleases to other men and to the planet - so how can God be blamed for the mess the world is in or indeed the mess we get our lives in sometimes. If we want him to help us, we need to acknowledge his power and sovereignty, and the fact that he really does know best. When you do this, your life will never be the same.

Prayer can help you remain focused on the important things in your life and therefore unconsciously strive toward achieving your goals. Apart from that it has no supernatural power. In a recent double blind test involving 6000 people it was demonstrated that prayer had no affect on the survival rate of cancer sufferers.

Prayer has definite power. The bible says (and I'm paraphrasing) that you didn't recieve because you didn't asked. I truely believe that prayer can bring on many things such as healing and blessings in your life. Prayer is also a way in which you communicate to God... so even if you don't receive what you ask for... the communication with God is something to cherish. I remember reading in the Old Testament in which Israel didn't hear from God... God had literally left them. What a sad time that must've been.
