As a atheist I dont see the Catholic Church as a threat per say, but I view them with more disdain than protestant faiths. The Catholic Church has been responsible for more atrocities than most protestant faiths. Look at the Inquisition, the Crusades, and in recent years the molestation scandals. I am repulsed by how willing church officials were to help cover up molestation allegations.

Difficult question to answer. I'm not sure I even entirely understand.

I think anyone who believes in God is a threat to atheists. Whether it's protestants, catholics, mormons or Jehovah Witnesses'. Anybody with a great love and faith in the Lord can be seen as a threat to atheists.

I was Catholic as was my mother, I see it as no threat to me but to a threat to everyone in general.
A little story about Catholic schools:

As a young lad my father grew upon a Native American Reservation , he was taken to a catholic school as was my grandfather before him. The nuns would whip their butts when they spoke their "dirty" native language My father and his father would both speak about the large wooden Paddle that was used on them and others quite often as if the nuns would take out their frustrations on the children.

I see the church still working in this manner to this day, the Paddle has changed to become politicians and the schools, they have become another thing that our taxes pay for as the Catholic Church prays on elderly people, persuading them to will the church their property so the church as a whole gets bigger and bigger.
The churches holdings (buildings) are tax exempt thus never costing the church anything but becoming a cash cow for the machine.

Your not a threat. Catholic beliefs are more stupid than Prodestant beliefs.

Thats like saying is Homer Simpson more of a threat than Buggys Bunny to atheists.

Religious belief has nothing to do with the fact the Vatican nation leeches off other nations. And, taxes her citizens while requiring other nations to support them.

The Catholic church (Vatican nation) is the primary sponsor of illegal immigration world-wide and is a serious threat to all other nations.
