reports show that all these so called islamic schools in the west dont produce any intellectuals. standard of education is very very low, and the only thing students learn is the koran.

what sort of proffessions can a student take up by reading only the koran? (other than learning to make bombs)

I have read of a University in Egypt where the entrance requirement is to recite the ENTIRE Qur'an from memory. This goes to show you the tremendous amount of time that must be spent from birth to college age dwelling on this one book. With so much time spent on this and nothing else it is easy to see why the output of Islamic schools is so one-sided and deficient in overall life skills.

The result has to be some sort of narrow-minded prejudiced fanaticism, and doubtless this is the cause of much of the terroristic issue facing many areas in the world today. If you have spent your entire life doing nothing but praying 5 times a day and memorizing an entire book you will not have time for anything else, no job, no career, no money, no nothing. And then when you look around and see all the things that people in other cultures have, such as homes, cars, possessions, it would fill you with a jealous rage and an overwhelming desire to equalize the situation by destroying those things that others (the Unbelievers) have.

In books I have read about Islam it is stated that everything a Muslim needs to know is contained in the Qur'an. There is nothing else. Anything NOT in the Qur'an is heresy and thus forbidden; anything found in the Qur'an that is also found outside the Qur'an is superfluous and thus unnesessary. To believe that everything you need to know is in the Qur'an and nothing outside the Qur'an is of any importance seems to me like an exercise in mass mind control, and a situation that can only breed intolerance and hate.

Muslim students go to regular school, as well as simultaneously Islamic Schools, just like ur Sunday Church School. They go there to learn The Holy Quran, which believe me is The Best Thing to Study than any other. And, dont even doubt the intellectual level of a Muslim going to Islamic School, 'coz he is a LOT Better than those who just go to regular schools. Also, this student can take any profession, if he continues his regular studies, along side as well, But, he also has the choice of Best Profession, which no regular guy can join, which is that he can Spread The Last/Final Word of GOD, to many ppl, by teaching others and making them learn The Holy Quran, and guiding others to The Path of Truth, and propagating the True Teachings of Islam which is Peace, and this is The Best Profession of all, in this world. Peace to all.

I am a muslim girl attending an islamic school. We are just as great as the school opposite us anf the catholic school down the road. yes we learn teh koran, but we learn our normal academic education too. it is a balance. it is simply anotehr subject that we do. we do still have to comply with the law you know.

what you say is not true. get your facts straight. muslim schools are like every other school, only better =)

i would like to see these reports
because i find this quite difficult to believe
i don't think a school would teach solely religion
and from the Muslims i have met .. worked with .. befriended my children at school etc
they are incredibly intelligent and work very hard to achieve a high standard of work

they could become a cleric.

but my question is: why would you post such a hateful thing.

i am a christian, and do not have much use for the islamic faith or the radical muslem who bring evil to the world.

but then again, i dont condone my own brothers and sisters in christianity when they are hateful and harmful to others.

the point of Muslim education is to restrict the mind not free it, a rational and logical thought would destroy Islam

unless the illogic of Islam can e reinforced again and again then , people will begin to think
