From your nick, I understand that you are a Muslim living in India :
...In the case of South Indian Hindus, marrying a paternal aunt's daughter is rated as acceptable, plus legal.
...But, as far as my limited knowledge of the Islamic traditions in India goes, a Muslim man is only permitted to marry his paternal uncle's daughter [cousin].
...The case you site involves marrying your elder paternal cousin's daughter, which the Islamic Shaariyat would condemn as an incestuous relationship between an uncle and niece.
You should best ask your clan's Kaazi, or Mosque's Maulvi, for an authoritative reply.
...It has also been scientifically proved, that genetic deficiencies will result from any such in-breeding.

Dateline just did a piece about cousins marrying (which I thought was a little weird) but they say in some states it perfectly legal.
Your situation seems pretty pretty far removed from the original blood line -
You have no more or less chance of the marriage failing or succeeding than if you were totally unrelated.

According to old folks. Couples with the same surname should not married, else the next generation will be borned deformed.
Not sure whether there's any clinical evidence.

I would need to sketch out that family tree on paper to know how far removed she is from you, but I can say there are always some problems in marriage but you can marry whomever you want.

To me, that doesn't sound really distant. But, I suggest go ask an attorney first instead of asking the question here.

According to most state laws you can marry your second cousin. Which she would be, so yeah I see no problem in it, except for its gross.

it's up to you.. do you want to marry her? relationships mostly end up because of lack of love, so if there's enough love in your relationship, there's no problemo..
