Most parents panic and think that they have to go into this long conversation with the child . Just keep it simple , a six year olds mind can not comprehend too much , and you don't want to confuse them . say something like baby come when Mommy's and Daddy's are in love !

This is what I told our boys when they were about that age and asked. "When Mommies and Daddies love each other in a special way, sometimes it can make a baby and the baby grows in the Mommy's tummy and when the baby is ready it comes out through a special opening that Mommy's have."

My 4 year old son has asked me this too... You have to explain it simply... I told my son the following>>>
"When the daddy puts his diddle into the mummies flossy his diddle places a special baby seed in mummies flossy. Then the mummy has a seed in her tummy that grows into a baby. The baby grows in the mummies tummy until it is ready to be born. Then it comes out of the mummies flossy and that is where a baby comes from." I don't really feel as though they need to know much more until they are older... I did however also explain to my son that he himself should never do this with anyone until he marries when he is old enough... You have to explain to them that its not okay for anyone to touch him on his diddle or ask him to do bad things as this is not allowed...

Tell them that babies come out of love. That's the most important thing that they should know. It's a chance to show to them the love between their parents, and this would be of great help when they grow up.

I have always found that honesty is the best policy. You don't have to go into the more graphic details, but these days if you don't tell your kids before you know it the school has done it for you. Or worse other kids have told your child the wrong information.

tell them the truth! or get a childrens book that explains it or maybe your doctor can give you some pamplets or something. Don't make a big deal about it. It's a part of life. Good Luck!

well i dont have any kids (dont want any, in fact), but I'd tell them the truth... if a woman loves a man very much, they will make love, and a baby will grow in the womans belly sometimes...
okay, I'm not being exact there because its a kid after all
