check Sky travel they have some good deals at the moment and also Portland direct have great deals
Caribbean are just the same price as Europe people don't realise this because when booking to go to the Caribbean it is all inclusive you don't have to worry about money for food drinks

Why don't you try Goa or Pondicherry in India. You could see the festival of Diwali which is on the weekend of Oct 20-24. The extra money you spend on the air ticket will get compensated by the inexpensive stay in India.
If you plan to come between Sept. 29 - Oct 2, you could see the Dussera festival at Mysore and the Durga Puja at Kolkata.

Cyprus is a geat place to chill out it has all year sunshine and u can get a 7 day holiday for less than 100 pounds. its a nice island where u can chill out and theres not alot of english ex pats over there like spain. it a cool short break all year round

Got to Egypt
Its absolutely amazing! Plus - you can't spend your money. Everything is soooooo cheap
We went in September 2004 and it was roasting hot (45°), so October would be perfect mid 30's temps
As for sunshine, we were in Luxor for 10 days and we never saw a cloud in the sky! No joke!

Turkey is cool. The chances of getting blown up are small. Check out the last minute sites closer to the time. There are some good deals. I saw one on Sky for 450.00 to the Caribbean last week. That was a good'un

Greece of course. You can find really cheap package holidays to the mainland and the islands. The weather is great is Ocotber, it has a mellow warmth and the sea is still quite warm. It is a very safe place to be and the people are wonderful, the food great and the beaches clean.
