I think it's because they are so unsure of themselves, trying desperatly to look educated just to feel fine nurturing their favorite pet sin instead of fighting it.

Four words: Because It Is Trendy. As long as there are trends, there will be people to follow without thought and without qualm. It's not rational thinking or a deep-seated hatred. It's just the newest trend in religion. Evolution in, Christ out. If you notice, religious trends tend to move just a bit slower than any other trend I've seen. This century it's evolution just like last century was Christianity. The thing about trendies is that they never do quite believe what they persecute for. It's just words, smoke and mirrors for these trendy *****.

Hi Carl!! :o) I hope you're OK. As a Christian - I have no problem [whatsoever] understanding WHY some people hate Christianity. But really - it's not Christianity they hate - it's the actions [historical and otherwise] of many who have CLAIMED to BE 'Christians' that have caused such hatred towards them. [And deservedly so] I came to believe in Jesus NOT BECAUSE of the people in my life [relatives mostly] who said they also believed - but in spite of them. The 'Christians' that I personally knew were horrible, awful, self-serving creatures. So awful - in fact - that I ended up asking myself, "Are they really CHRISTIANS?!" And in my quest to find out what JESUS was really like [And what HE expected of those of us who SAY we follow Him] I ended up accepting Him for what He said He was. [and IS] Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

You are mixed up. Educated class do not hate
Christianity. They hate christians the way they
practice their religion.
If you read a little bit of history, you will see, how
much injustice and cruelty has been inflicted on
earth by so called christians, in the name of
Chriastianity. Ignorance is bliss for Christians.

I think while some non-Christians have a chip on their shoulder against Christianity, the reverse is definitely also true.

You don't need to look much further than Yahoo Answers to see plenty of proof of that.

Today the largest converts to different religions are christians.
West has the direct impact of these religions. The people of west are not bound to their families or clans. People do not hate Christianity but invite christians to their particular religion.
