When you are locked in traffic you have no place to go. Why is this person next to me blaring their stereo? On top of that the lyrics of the song are obscene. I see children in the car in front of me. What do you think?

I think the people that play their stereos to loud in public should be shot

You can be fined where I live, as it's considered noise pollution. I have a 3yr old and I keep my windows up all the time so that she does not hear anything vulgar, and then I put music on in my car that I find appropriate. Nothing you can really do about it, so drown them out! Yes it is rude.

In Sydney it is now illegal to turn your stereo up too loud between 9p.m. and 7.a.m.the next morning while driving around in residential areas.
Generally speaking, people who turn car stereos up full blast in traffic jams and public places are ignorant, ill mannered, selfish and rude ratbags, who do not give a damn about others.
Fortunately motorcyclists can manouver through traffic jams, pull up alongside noisy louts and ratbags, spit in their windows and vanish in a puff of exhaust smoke.Bikers rule.

"Blaring' the stereo is at the least inconsiderate and possibly rude, especially when traffic is stopped.

Yes, that's when you start blaring classical music, or country. That may work.

I would agree, but I doubt there is anything that can be done. But personally I smile when I think that these people will go deaf sooner than any of us.
