If my son (who is 3 now) told me he was gay when he is older I would open the champagne!

Its not a choice that I hope he makes because its a tough way of life with so many bigots about but I would give him a big kiss and be thrilled to meet his partners. I would do the same if he is not gay too because I love him and want him to be happy.

Ps. I am a christian

I have met good gays and lesbians and i have met bad gays and lesbians. I see them no different than anybody else. Only thing puzzles me is that so many of them can be Christians despite the blatant hatred for them espoused in the Bible and by Christians.

Being a straight male myself, I especially like lesbians. If i was a woman i would be a lesbian. And hey, the more gay guys the more women for me. I wouldn't care a bit if every man in the world was gay except me :)

I am gay and I have no probelm with them. The only issue though that I do have is the need for some straight people to make it such a taboo subject. For myself I find that its better to keep quiet about it as I have had quite a few bad experiences letting various members of my family know about my sexual orientation. Lets just say I no longer have a good relationship with my family as they choose to believe a book than accept their daughter as she is!

Hello!! :o) As a gay male - I have to admit - I've met a LOT of self-serving gay people in my life. But generally speaking - what applies to straight people applies equally to gay people. BEING GAY doesn't make you special or wonderful anymore than it makes you horrible and rotten. If a person is wonderful OR horrible - it's because THAT is who they ARE. Sometimes - gay people [and this has been MY personal experience] hide behind their 'label' and assume that if someone doesn't like them - it's BECAUSE they're gay. I say - it's because they just happen to BE unlikable. Regardless of who we are sexually attracted to - we are no more [or LESS] bound by the 'golden rule' of treating everyone with kindness, compassion AND respect. [And that includes people who we may not like - AND people who might not share our point of view] Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

I believe that the majority are responding to their true feelings and should be left in peace. What I don't like is all this coming out and making a big issue of their sexual preference.

All this in your face "I am Gay" stuff isn't necessary. We are all different. That is what makes the world so interesting.

Two of my best mates are lesbians and they are great. I Haven't really had much to do with gay blokes but they seem ok as long as they aren't trying to convert everyone. They are just like everyone else except they chose to love people of the same sex. My friend really struggled with it because she felt there was something wrong with her, in fact I think she still does, but hey you've just got to get on with life don't you?

Simple. If enough people went that way, the human race would become extinct. Possibly a good thing then.
Children all used to be taught in biology lessons that "The primary goal of every living organism is that it seeks to reproduce its species". That's a biological fact and the fact that homos don't subscribe to it demonstrates an abnormality.
However, if you believe in one of the Abrahamic religions, you will find that God condemns homosexuality as an "Abomination". Since you can't pick and choose whch bits of the religion you want to follow, you're stuck with it. It's not a matter of your own personal feelings.

I love gay guys, get along really well with them

I've had issues with a lot of the lesbians I've met for some reason, a lot of the girls I know have a big chip on their shoulder but in the same vein I've had issues with a lot of the black guys I've met.
people are just people

What goes on behind closed doors between consenting adults is their own affair.

I use the terms "consenting" and "adult" in the context that the people involved are capable of making their own choices and are fully aware of what they are agreeing to and that no coercion is involved.

I have no opinion either way as to hetrosexual or homosexual people. There are good and bad gay people and good and bad straight people. I am secure in my own sexuality and therefore find no threat from anyone who does not swing the same way as I do. It just doesn't matter to me what other folk are.

I'm not sure what you mean by my opinion. To me that is like asking what my opinion on clouds! what do you mean by the Adam and Eve thing? What Adam and Eve thing? Do you mean the bible story? if so, what has that got to do with the question?
And further more, why do you want to know? Are you seeking some sort of self-affirmation?

There just like any other person in the world, that do the same things as anyone else. They love, live, and learn like any other. And some time you won't even know that they can be right next to you and you won't even know it...lol
