Simply cause some people are incompetent and think they are better then others based upon race. When in reality they are NOT. The only difference is the racist people open their mouth and show their levels of stupidity by thinking they have the right to judge a whole group of people for their race. When they should be learning to judge each person individual not as groups and not based upon race nor religion.
Some people are too busy judging people to be happy and live their own life and stop worrying about other people. Some try to repeat history instead of creating their own foot prints in life.

Political Correctness and Multi Culture!
Blame politics and religion, everything seem to be growing towards acceptance and intergration, then the above came along and got rammed down our throats, so many tolerant taxing paying people are fed up with hearing how their money is going on not only ethnic people blackwhite etc flooding here, but also on the generations of white dole collectors, it's not so much an issue of race, but one of where the balance is now swayed in anoyones favour because of race, creed or class.

Man is a pack animal. as such man will always discriminate against those not of his pack. Occasionally (unfortunately too often) this causes suspicion and hatred and results in some of the terrible atrocities we perpetrate on each other.
However there is not only racism that divides us. We have sexism, ageism, football hatred, religious bigotry. As a race we are a big bag of hate and stupidity.

Different breeds of dogs tend to be more hostile than others. I believe that this occurs in the human race. Violence from a particular community or race influences what other people perceive. This leads to racism. Human nature really.

Because whether you like it or not, history cannot be erased. Auschwitz, the transatlantic slave trade, american Japanese internment, immigration of Mexicans to America, conflict between the Tutsis and the Hutus and others are reasons why race will continue to be an issue. We shouldl recognize our differences and leverage that diversity.
