Not a racist question but a worrying one...the BNP are and always have been single issue (a little like UKIP) party playing on prejudice. It is led by criminals and people who should have no say everyday life - hope and pray they dont get to power as the lac of any understanding of real problems and issues will mean anyone voting for them will regret it...as for Maggie and E European dump - oh well - you're right could have been a nice cosy all white country with warm beer and cricket and no trade unions, no industry and just a bunch of p[eople robbing the poor and hard workers - hang on no sorry she did that crap already.
PS if you ever have the misfortune to be forced from your home because of your beliefs or politics and become a refugee hope to god that someone will give you refuge from persecution...

I dont think so
people still realise that they are blatently racist and generally (from what I've seen) its uneducated chavs who are voting for them. there simply arent enough of those people to make the BNP a prominent party

what will happen is the bigger the asylum seeker problem gets the more another more favourable political party (labour, lib dems, conversative) will put into sorting the problem. its clearly going to be a conservative government next anyway as people feel labour have failed us and I cannot see that party standing for the problem with asylum seekers that is upon us at the moment

To all the lily livered liberals out there, remember BNP do have a role to play in British politics, they are saying quite truthfully what the majority in this country think. Enoch Powell was right back in the 60's Britain has become a dumping ground for foreigners, even today parts of Great Britain have become a no go area for white folk, day or night. I lived in Birmingham 30 years ago and it was like, "spot the white man"!

No, because deep down people know that the BNP are a bunch of hooligans who just want to hate everybody for the sake of hating them. They say all these things that may be very appealing to people but just remember that this is how Hitler started out. He promised higher standard of living to a country where the everyday german person was really poor whilst the Jews and other non-arian race were doing well and having lots of money. He took advantage of a situation, and people fell for it. I don't think that mistake will be made again.

I think there is a limit to how much they can grow. Issues like immigration will certainly earn them votes. The problem is that they are a one trick pony in many ways.
Most people see that the BNP have no realistic economic or foreign policies and so are unelectable.
(Excellent question, neutrally phrased)

It is a worrying question and one which has gained momentum since the race riots in Oldham etc and the perception of the way that main stream parties have failed to deal with immigration effectively. We need a proper debate rather than handing control of this issue to the far right.

only if the get away from the rascist rhetoric. theyve spent too many years dissmissing the asian and coloured people who live, work and pay taxes in this country. without them our economy would collapse, and lets remember, the asian arrived in the 70's, with nothing but the clothes they stood up in after idi amin expelled them from uganda. they have what they have mainly due to damn hard work, in the worst possible jobs, jobs which no englishman wanted to do...

their defing clause is the should fight, in defense of hte realm, for sureley if one is prepared to lay down his life in that defense, then he, or she is as entitled to say I'm British, and have all the rights afforded to any British citizen...

until they do, theyll be just another raving monster loony party.. and loose their deposits.

I think that they will have a serious place in politics in the future, however I don't think this will be acheived because of their policies.

I don't think a lot of people are aware of what the BNP's policies actually are, and so I think that with increasing racial tension because of terrorism and immigrants, people are going to vote for them without considering their policies.
