Merit is the lowest of the low, yes you will have central locking (probably) but thats about it. Very basic specification.
But for £125 with an MOT what do you expect?

The merit comes with windows, a steering wheel, um........and all the air inside the cabin!!! They were a very basic spec, Central locking would only have been an optional extra, but at that price is pretty good for it. But the mileage probably will be 166,500 unless it had a 6digit odometer.

it sounds too cheap if you have checked all over and have looked and listened /touched, tried all the main parts and are satisfied i would suggest you try regcheck.co.uk for any bad history reports its free but limited, their text service is £4.50. hpi is a full lowdown on vehicle history about £50.00 tel 08453007516 , if you purchase the car i would recommend you buy a haynes manual (halfords) for that model (Invaluable)) dont try guess work
