Is there anyone out there who is a pureblood Native and still holds their heritage strong? Are you knowledgable about your heritage? Please, I need some help with a novel and I could use all the information I can get.

I'm not NA but my husband and brothers and sisters-in-law are half Navajo half Shawnee. All but one of the above live on the Navajo Nation reservation in Window Rock, Arizona. You should contact the Navajo Nation's offices in Window Rock. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be willing to help you. Same with the Cherokee Nation in Talequah, Oklahoma. My husband lives a "white" life more for necessity, kwim? We were more into the heritage side before moving to Kansas. It's easier to live it when you're around it, we were in the Tulsa area before.

What is it that you are wanting to know? And just because we are Native American, does not mean all tribes carried the same historical backgrounds. What is the Novel you are reviewing?
