It happens due to changing hormone levels and your body adjusting to it in early pregnancy. Drink some ginger and lemon tea when you wake up or if you do not like the taste try a ginger biscuit in the morning before you eat anything else. It can help to settle your stomach.

Smells can also effect the way you feel, try to avoid anything that triggers that sickly feeling when you cook. Also, for most women it doesn't last more than a few weeks, if it doesn't then sure it isn't very nice, but at least you know roughly when it's all going to be over : )

take care

My doctor told me that morning sickness is the bodys natural way of getting rid of anything taken into the body which could be harmful to the unborn baby.

I found plain ice cream wafers excellent for relieving the symptoms.

Morning sickness is caused by the unbalance of hormones in the body...if you notice it happens early in the pregnancy and usually goes away by the fourth month...I found that eating a few vanilla wafers with peanut butter on them before I got out of bed helped..but there are meds the doctor can give to relieve the nausea. Remember, becoming dehydrated can cause some serious problems in early pregnancy....so try some warm tea and crackers. if it doesn't help ask your Doctor....Good luck

Keep a few dry crackers next to the bed. In the morning when you wake up, before you get out of bed, eat the crackers and sit for a moment before getting up. This helps a bit.

Morning sickness is usually a sign of the first trimester of pregnancy, though there could be other reasons for it.

Because being pregnant completely stuffs up your hormones and it takes a while for your body to get used to it. Your pharmacist will be able to give you something for the nausea, I took a vitamin mix called Pregnancy and Morning Sickness Formula so go to the chemist and ask them. And keep crackers beside your bed (or have a lovely partner to organise stuff!) and eat before you get out of bed in the morning

Huge amounts of progesterone cause morning sickness. At 12 weeks the placenta takes over the "baby care" and the sickness diminishes considerably.
Eat little and often to maintain blood sugar levels as this also causes nausea. (a viscous circle develops).
Ginger and peppermint are good and safe remedies, in edible forms or aromatheraly oils.

Due to lack of nutrients. We have to build up to the pregnancy and baby (nature commands) take first priority over the nutrients. So more greens, low sugar fruits, nuts & seed, beans. Go for organic or home grown (as they have been prove to have 10x or 1000x more nutrients).

As instant cure, juice vegetables (organic carrots, greens leafy, + ginger)

Remember GINGER is the cure for short term. So if you like drink ginger beer with no sweetners (i.e. IRIS - Jamican ginger beer or Rochester from Holland & Barratts or Organic ginger cordiol from Sainsbury, Tesco, Waitrose)

All the best!

Morning sickness is a good thing. Women who get morning sickness miscarry less than those who don't. I was excited i didn't get sick but when i lost it at 10 1/2 weeks I wish I had gotten sick. It just means your hormones are rising as they should be and your body is adjusting.
