If you have tried the cookery shops and not found anything, why not try getting those little plastic cutters for kiddies play dough.

They come in all sorts of 'fun' shapes, and if they work for play dough, I would imagine they work for pastry too.

Try Lakeland Limited. They have a website and shops and mail order. They are very good for all sorts of weird and wonderful kitchen things and a whole host of others too.

Here is a place my sister told me about www.cookiecutter.com , she says they have a lot of cookie cutters. I am not sure if Martha Stewart still sells her brand any more, I have some and they are nice.

Why not try some freeform knife work? I'm so good now that I can carve Jeremy Beadle from a single piece of shortbread dough. Dodgy hand and all (his, not mine). LOL
