by leaving him . an independent man is a stubborn thorn that needs medical attention. you can't change him. you would be better off by leaving that thorn to fester and let the next one deal with the infection. independent men have issues with their moms or dads. they need psychological help. even if you don't think so... later on you will feel like you have WASTED your life on . 10 yrs. later....
don't let that be you. I could have married at least 5 men that DID appreciate me, but wasted my life on an independent man. I am not bitter but I hate all of the wasted time that I invested in someone that in the end was a waste of time. Life is TOO SHORT .....

You cut his legs off so he needs you. Or maybe you could try to do something equal on an emotional level, but it would be just as cruel. The only way an independent guy's gunna change is if he wants to, not if you want him to.

Think about what type of man you go for, and find one who is already like that. Trying to change people is the cause of too much grief and conflict.

Must be broken through harsh isolation and re-programming. Often occurs in POWS. Start by terminating his ability to commuincate with the outside world, then force him to eat nothing but Oreo cookies for 7 days (no milk). Please do not share this secret.

You don't. Either that person decides they need to change and stick to it....or they don't. Even God doesn't force change on individuals....leaves us to decide if we will follow Him or not.
