Hi!

No! Because I would be thinking more about where I am going: Have I lived my life according to God's Will?, Will I enter heaven?

What about you:"If nobody cared if you died within the next 24 hours would that bother you?"

Who cares what others think? When you get right down to it, you are the person that you have to seek approval from. We are social beings and do require some amount of acceptance in order to be happy, but aside from that each of us is the only thing we need in order to find happiness. Buddha said that happiness is absence of suffering. You can train your mind and emotions to not agonize when suffering happens. Life is suffering, we must accept this, but attitude and how you weather the storms is very important. How do those monks who set themselves on fire in protest of something or another sit so calmly while their body is consumed by flames? They have learned to not acknowledge suffering. When you can laugh at your troubles, it really helps. All things are temporary: pain, troubles, good things, bad things, life, death. All things will eventually pass one day. If you wait out your problems, you can out-last them. I would be sad if noone cared about my death, but I would go on with my existance in the next world and not look back. Many a hermit in the woods has died without any to mourn their passing.

I am not in this world to count the number of people that care for me. Rather I am trying to care for the people in my life. On occasion in my life I felt alone, uncared for and a failure. Upon review I realized my absence in life would effect too many people. So I have been living for other people since...

I have developed my faith even though I do not attend church and I hold tight to wise sayings like "This too will pass" and "tomorrow is another day". I have quit blaming my family and events that didn't help matters and have worked to make things better for myself and the people in my life.
By no way is my life a rose garden but if I want roses i will plant them.

I feel you are in need and all i can say is do what you can do to fill that need and when you can do no more give it over to god he will come through. ( ah ha the faith stuff).

I would use that 24 hours to make a connection with at least one person or as many people as I could in that one day, by the end of day I am sure that someone would care and if they didn't I would know that I contributed to society that day and that would make ME feel good.

Not after I was gone, but if it was a slow death I I thought that no one cared then yes it would. I would wonder where I went wrong and long for the chance to put things right.

Of course the requested answer is "No" whereby I launch into speech stating that I live for myself and no one-else, but secretively inside I yearn people to miss me, as do most people I would assume. Generally people like to loved and not hated.

If i thought nobody cared, that would be very selfish of me... a lot of people care! even if my mind is closed to the idea... a lot of people care. God cares, the angels care, your friends and family care.

Did you know, that every single person on this earth is loved by at least 3 others!

But to answer your question fairly, id say YES, i WOULD care, and it WOULD bother me, because i want to MEANT something to someone in this world!
