If the contain an aritficial sweetener called ASPERTAIME they can. this substance, when exposed to heat above 86 degrees transforms into formic acid, which is the same substance that is in the venom of fire ants...this chemical causes a number of symptoms including those mimicing alzheimers and parkinsons. It causes brain tumors, blindness and a host of other problems and symprtoms that are often mistaken ofr other disorders.

Yes, just ask the people who drink one type of soft drink.
They are killing their brain cells with boredom. So the key is try new things and stimulate your brain cells and pay attention to your taste buds, revive them too!
