It is evident in a corporate culture to maintain relations with the team that you are directly involved with and with others in maintaining harmony to accomplish the tasks either by delegating or seeking help from subordinates. To perform your role, you need to be involved with the team surrounding you and hence the need for maintaining a relationship at a professional level and trying to balance it by not poking your nose in to personal matters of others.
