A lovely idea that could be used as a birthday cake alternative would be to make a stack of pancakes and put cream and jam between each layer and then ice it like a normal cake… or just sprinkle icing sugar on the top with birthday candles. Good luck and I hope that helps as an idea!

Slow Cooker Chocolate Applesauce Cake

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 2 hours, 15 minutes
Serves: 8

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsps. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsps. unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
1/4 lb. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/3 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions:
Sift first 4 ingredients together in a bowl. Set aside.
Combine butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Beat with
an electric mixer until fluffy. Add next 4 ingredients
and mix thoroughly. With mixer running, pour in melted
chocolate and mix thoroughly. Add flour mixture and mix
on low speed until just blended. Slowly beat in
buttermilk. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
Transfer batter to an electric slow cooker on high
heat. Smooth top. Cover and cook 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 hours
or until a tester comes out clean when inserted in
center. Remove lid, turn off cooker and and let cake
cool in cooker until just barely warm. Run a sharp
knife around inside edges of cooker. Use a large
spatula to carefully remove cake in one piece. Sprinkle
with powdered sugar before serving.

Buy a sponge cake at the grocers. Bring it home, split the cake into three layers - sprinkle rum on each layer just before icing, or melt some jam and spread that between the layers, finally ice with your favorite icing or store bought and enjoy that cake you didn't have to bake.

yes, there is. take an aluminium plate,fill the plate with mud r sand.if u have cooker, well, place the contents of the cake into the cooker, cover with a lid without the whistle.place the sand plate on the gas stove & above it the cooker should be kept. after 15 to 20 mins u can open &see it .
