and someone wants a complete rundown of all the available stamps?? And the clerk is more than happy to dig in the vaults to show them what they have?

I'm rarely in a hurry. But the other day I was running late for work and there were only 2 clerks. Usually 3-4 are working. One woman had several packages she wanted to ship international and she didn't know the English language very well. The woman was at the counter for 20 minutes. The very next lady wanted to see every single 1st class stamp design and inquired about the new Christmas stamp. The clerk spent 3 minutes searching for a sample as she was curious to see them for herself.

oh my god, this happened to me the other day, but it was every single one of the 20 people in front of me that either wanted the complete stamp option rundown, or needed the only working clerk to re-wrap their package to save 50 cents by going priority mail, or some other b.s. and the clerk was like, "la-di-da, what else can i do for you? need a back scratch? want a stick of gum? need a passport? wanna see some other stamps for next time?" i was about ready to go postal.

For the same reason when we are in a hurry and someone ahead of us in the grocery store needs a price check. We are a society of always in a hurry people and we need to slow down.

It is of course the fault of Murphy, as Murphy's law is always in place when you need to hurry you will be held up for one reason or another.

Why is it that people moan and whine about being in a hurry but they have time to moan and whine?

To test your patience. Don't worry, some day you will be doing it, too. GOD bless.
