Why do all religions claim they are the true ones? If and I say if, there is only one God, then why are there a few thousands religions and a few hundred thousand churches all claiming to be right?

People believe differently because they chose too, if they would read the Bible and take it in for what it says and not what they want it to say there wouldn't be a million different religions! There is only one way to live right and that's with God, the Bible tells you exactly how to do that. Just because everyone believes that there religion is the right one but that doesn't necessarily make it right.

The obvious is the easiest to understand, namely money, power and control of innocent gullible minds. However, it is also important to remember that no religion is the correct one, and all religions have got it wrong.

There are many major religions in the world, such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, and so on. Within each major religion there can also be many minor religions. For example, within Christianity there is Catholic, Protestant, Anglican and so on. Within Islam there is Shiite, Sunni etc.

In summary there are many hundreds of different religions in the world all with their devoted believers and followers. Talk to any devout religious person and they will almost emphatically insist that their religion is the right one, it’s fact, and any non-believer is doomed.

Commonsense and logic would suggest that if there was any truthful or factual basis to religion, then only one of these religions could be correct, not all of them. However, in my view, it’s highly unlikely that any of these man-made religions bear any resemblance to fact or the truth, and are more likely to be the result of simplistic human intelligence looking for an escape from reality.

This same question has been asked nearly every day and sometimes a few times in a day.

I suppose you didn't like the way the questions were answered.

You most likely won't like this one either.

God Bless You, ;-)

people will think they have found the true religion because it makes so much sense for them .. this doesnt mean it is the true religion .. but it is true for them
i think the way forward though is for us all to admit that not everyone can be right .. but we may well all have individual small truths that lead to the big truth

There's a handy little tool at the top of the page called "search for questions." It'll get you far around here without annoying people.

I don't know, my religion has no God. They didn't say they are true either, they only told me to take it or leave it.

If you belonged to a religion, would you say it was wrong?

True religion of God since the beginning of this world is:
TO BELIEVE IN ONE ALONE GOD___ TO PERFORM GOOD DEEDS___ TO BELIEVE IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT AFTER RESURRECTION.
True religion was always the religion preached by all the messengers and true religion was always changed, modified or corrupted after the messengers by the followers of the evil forces under the instructions of Satan. Thus, after one messenger another messenger appeared to correct the false and to preach the truth. In fact all religions of today were one great religion because all religions appeared after the true religion and the true religion was always:
TO BELIEVE IN ONE ALONE GOD___ TO PERFORM GOOD DEEDS___ TO BELIEVE IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT AFTER RESURRECTION.
All the messengers preached the same___ before man or idol worship. True followers of the messengers always followed the True religion and there was no difference of message of the messengers.
For example:
Jesus preached:-
1.HONOUR GOD
2.WORSHIP GOD
3.SERVE GOD
And today’s Christian leaders preach
1.Honour God and Jesus
2.Serve Jesus
3.Worship Jesus, Holy Ghost and God
Same is the case with Muslims. Muslims at the messengers’ time believed in God and followed and worshipped God only___ today’s Muslims follow the religion of their leader and call it Islam. Though, messenger Muhammad clearly mentioned the true religion is Islam:
TO BELIEVE IN ONE ALONE GOD___ TO PERFORM GOOD DEEDS___ TO BELIEVE IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT AFTER RESURRECTION.
On record is his word that Islam is to believe in God and to remain firm on that. So, even today we believe in the true religion of all nations__ according to the saying of all messengers.

Krishna Jee said to his father:-
‘Leave worship of all demi-gods and worship One, Alone God Only. Who is the Great Master and to serve whom is the duty of the slaves of God.’
God said to Moses:-
“I__AND I ALONE___AM GOD
AND ALL OTHER GODS ARE UNREAL.”
And in Quran God says:-
“I__AND I ALONE AM THE NOURISHER OF THE UNIVERSE.”
And, the word GOD means:-
1.G___ FOR GENERATOR OF THE UNIVERSE
2.O___ FOR ORGANIZER OF THE UNIVERSE AND COSMOS.
3.D___ FOR DESTROYER OF EVERYTHING.

All Holy Books tell us, that everything will be perished and nothing will be left but The One, Alone God to resurrect all whom God created for the judgement. All the messengers sent to mankind by the Great, AlMighty God__ died but the true religion of the God lives. So, to be the one nation of God:
BELIEVE IN ONE ALONE GOD___ PERFORM GOOD DEEDS___ BELIEVE IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT AFTER RESURRECTION.

True servants of the Lord should, therefore, never be named after their Prophets__ as Abrahamics (the followers of Abraham)__ Jacobeans (the followers of Jacob)___ Christians (the followers of Christ)___ or Muhammadans (the followers of Muhammad). They should be properly named as Muslims___ or the servants of the Lord___ as they have been named in the Bible as well as in Quran. The Bible contains the name of slave/servant while Quran contains the name of Muslim. The literal oneness of the name of slave/servant and Muslim___ does indicate the virtual oneness of belief. The belief of all the Prophets__ was one and the same__ and that was faith and trust in One Alone God.

since Adam to Noah__ Noah to Abraham__ Abraham to David, David to Moses__ Moses to Jesus and Jesus to Muhammad (peace & blessings of God be upon all of them) all the Prophets were slaves or servants of the Lord. And, in their servant-n-master or slave-n-lord based relationship__ all of them had__ all the qualities of servants & slaves definitely. That is why that all of them stood as servants & slaves of the Lord__ throughout their lives__ and obeyed their Lord in the most positive terms.

Torah, Psalms, Gospel and Quran, all the Scriptures are saying that God is One, the Holy One. So whosoever does not believe in One God, he is definitely denying all the Scriptures. Such a person can not be considered as a believer at all.

No Prophet or a righteous-man has ever dared to say that he, himself, should be honoured like God or worshipped like God. Satan, of course, had certainly said to Jesus to worship him in place of God but Jesus had responded in the following way:-

“Go away Satan! The Scripture says: Worship the Lord you God and serve only the Lord.”
(Matthew 4:10)

In the same way, Jesus has responded in his prayer on the cross while uttering the following lines of the Verse No.23:-

“Praise the Lord, you servants of the Lord!
Honour the Lord, you descendants of Jacob!
Worship the Lord, you people of Israel!”

No doubt, it is a matter of simple common-sense that when God is One__ the Lord is One__ the saviour is one__ the Holy and Only One__ then, how his slaves or servants__ can be held as worthy of the honour & service__ which is meant for the Holy One alone. But alas! The people are honouring and serving the slaves and servants__ just like the Lord. Rather, they have chosen them as God & the Lord__ in place of the Holy One. And__ Christians are the pioneers of such ideas. They have straightaway declared Jesus as God & Lord and the Saviour. Rather, they hold Jesus as the sole sovereign of the Day of Judgement, instead of the Lord, the Almighty God, the Holy One.

Beware please! The mankind at large___ is not a Jew, nor Hindu, nor Buddhist, nor Christian, nor Muhammadan or so on. Instead all nations and all races are children of Adam (PBUH)___ and the most dignified creature of the Creator__ and the Creator is the Holy One. Who has commanded Adam and his children___ to believe in the Lord’s Absolute Oneness__ and to act, exactly, in accordance with the Lord’s Commandments. Otherwise, on the Day of Judgement___ they will be among no community but the condemned-ones.
