Well i am assuming that u are wanting a solid seperation if this is so the esiest and cheapest way to acheive this would probly be a "Stud" wall. all weaker than a load bearing wall it is more than capable to do the job u are requiring, however takes nothing more than a bit of time, plasterboard and a bit of decoration to ur tastes. However if u do not nessacarily need a solid seperation i wud recommend a d material separation possible running one or a seris of rods accross the span of the space u wish to isolate and drape off some suitable material to allow a crude yet effective "blind" sitatuation. I do hope this helps and good luck to you

Depends on how permanent you want this to be. You can add a wall easily enough or a half wall. If you are renting, you could take some doors from the lumber store and put hinges on them to make a room divider.

Also area rugs are a good way to further define spaces.

You could probably use hooks attached to the ceiling (if possible) to hold a curtain rod; the hooks should be strong enough to hold the weight of the panels you'll use. If you like to sew, you can make the panels to coordinate with the pattern of the boys comforters, or you can buy them. I've used inexpensive sheets as panels before.

Depending on money you can go cheap and easy or little bit more expensive and looking great....
you could get Dividers, like tri-fold separators.

or Hang Sheer Curtains from a low ceiling and pull them back like a doorway. ***I think this is best, because then the boys can close them if they want to. Wal mart has everything you need too.

Vinyl louvered sliding doors would provide privacy, then an open feeling when desired.
Twin beds angled with one table at their head ('L' shape) also provide 'couches'.
High bookshelves provide privacy as a sort of wall; books on shelves and posters/pictures/maps on other side - your preference facing 'bedroom'.
Furniture at angles; plants; hanging fabric as a 'wall'.
