I disagree i do not think that looks fade

I think that if you really get along well with somebody, they really care for you and you really care of them then they become beautiful..attractive good looking..however you want to put it- and that they only become more beautiful over time as your mutaul love of eachother endures and develops.

Somebody who looked dazzling beautiful to you initially could treat you most horribly and then you would come to see them as stupid, shallow, vain or cruel. There is nothing more ugly and unappealing than somebody who will treat you with cruelty.

I think it best to choose a person for their good character, how do they treat other people? how do they treat you? Do you share their values and morality, this is more important than outward personality.

Choose a lover the way you would a friend and you will probably be far more satisfied than selecting one on appearance alone.

The fact that you are asking such a ludicrous question makes me think you are very young, but that you're becoming aware that there's more to people than meets the eye. My answer:

If you want sex and your mates to admire you for your prowess, go for looks. But be aware that unless you yourself are hot stuff, the other person is quite likely to shoot you down.

If you want someone to talk to and have real fun with, then personality is what you should go for. If the person you end up with is not conventionally attractive, you won't be wowing your mates as much but you will earn their respect because you are showing them that their attitude to who and what you decide to date does not affect you either way.

Then again, you could score a chick like me - looks and brains! Only I'm not available ... sorry hon.

Settle for nothing less than the kind of person who is best for you.

If you can stand to be with a good person who doesn't physically attract you, then more power to you! I can't, even though I know I should. However, I need both personal and physical attraction.

I agree with those who say looks fade buy personality is forever!

It's sooooo true about looks. I used to think my current boyfriend was sexy. I only dated him because I thought he was a gentleman. But seeing how he can get mad, I'm likely to NOT find him sexy anymore.

But then, the best of people, a lot of them are ugly. I rather date a guy uglier than dirt than a good-looking jack-off!
