Sex education is necessary but you have to decide the age at which your child needs it. Some children tend to mature fast and are ready for sex education at an early age. My experience says it should be a controlled one. Everybody needs knowledge about sex at one point of time. Most of the times, it is fulfilled through own sources. But some proactive parents do impart it looking to the needs of the child.

Hey I stay in India even I got Sex education when I was teen (15), but I didn't get much out of it, just those idiotic diagrams of chromosomes and how they split up, one thing I came to know is why girls use sanitary napkins, bcoz r lady biology teachers explained it, nothing else than that I think the sex education does not provide the child with much info., ether it should elaborated more, should provide more details or should be completely removed from the syllabus, it makes no sense giving half and unfurnished knowledge, and I think it is necessary to give detail sex education from 14 or so, with a info on HIV, AIDS and STD(s).

Yes it is. Buy a book (which you have read) and give this to your child. The talk usually happens in the puberty stage. My mom tried to show me pictures of the vagina and it was very awkward! Believe me, buy a book. Or if you are an open person, ask your child openly if they want to know something about sex or the opposite sex (do this when you are alone). Or tell them to write you a letter and then you can write back. Hope I helped

yes it is necessary for sex ed at school children as young as 11 should no what sex is because if they don't they leave them self open to have bad experience in later life i never really got told about sex until it was to late I'd already done it and what a amazing experience it was also not allot schools teach much about STI/STD i never got tort and we got told the only reason 4 condoms was so you didn't get a girl pregnant it was when i was 17 that i first learnt about STI/STD that was only because i got one and lucky 4 me it was able to be treated but there are allot of incurable ones out there if I'd have known more about them i would have been very careful because i didn't know much i thought I'll never get one but wasn't i wrong.so teach them every thing then let them make there own choices isn't that fare because it's better to make a choice than a mistake

No not at all, if u can bring the child properly in Indian culture.
But if u belong to west then it is 100% yes. Neverthless the children do not have morals in the west. so why bother. Children know everything and their best teacher is TV in getting spoilt. But India is transforming into western culture with the Moms and pops (not Amma and baba) getting into high level ideas. So mons and pops don't care for kids. So it is NO need to
educate so called children of 21st century.

Yes, in todays generation where childrens and puberty's already talk about sex,,and more and more younger teenagers now a days gets pregnant.. it is best to educate your child at home.

Both parents should equally handle the responsibility so that the children will not get it from their friends or suitors who will only teach them about sex whence doing the sex act.
