in the above link I asked a question & most of the Christians who answered cursed me, instead of trying to prove their point with a polite way as it should be followed in civilized debate, some of them even attacked my relegion which I could have reported it as "Not a question or an answer" but I`d rather not. If the Christians are so angry when someone talks with them about their relegion, then maybe they shouldn`t enter here from the first place, or what do you think???

I think it has more to do with how the question was presented. It did have some sort of an anti-Christian slant to it, or so it would seem.

I am only listing facts in a response to your question as to why they got so mad. for example; you added your own interpritation to the Bible verses you quoted in a way of stating a fact instead of in a way to justify a legitimate question beyond the perception of a blast against their beliefs.

before you can expect a polite response, or a civilized debate even, you first must be willing to ask an unbiased question, of which it seems you did not. From the way your question was presented, it seemed as if you were asking the question only to make a point, an attack against their belief.

Now, you may or may not have intended it to be presented it this way, but that's what it looked like.

I hope that you do not think this is an attack asgainst you, in no way am I attempt to do so. I am just answering this question you posted with some possible reasons for why you got the responses you got.

By the way, I am a Christian, and I do not get mad if there is a legitimate reason for the question to be asked regarding my faith. And in no way am I saying your question was not legitiate.

This is my opinion only, as yours may differ.

Your last question, to me was obviously a question trying to slander Jesus as a hater, a sinner and a murderer etc.. If you were truly studying the Bible then you would not arrive at those kind of conclusions or ask the way you did. Even your kin, Poki Poki found it disrespectful to your prophet Jesus.

If you don't understand what I just said. To give you another example. It is like me asking why is Islam full of terrorists, even the prophet Muhammed went round killing people, and Quran condones the killing Surah II: 191-193 – “Kill them [unbelievers] wherever you find them….Fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah.”

If you really want to get to know the Bible, go to a church and study it with its context.

Otherwise forget about undermining other religions. Show the true spirit of your religion.

Anyway as predicted there will be an Anti-Christ until the second coming of Jesus, so I will be expecting people now and in the future to still bash Jesus Christ.

Because Most So Called "Christians" Dotn Know How To Answer Calmly And In Humility. And They Dotn Know How To React When One Is Actually Needed To Have A Little Less Then Humility. God Bless You. And Take Care!

Having reviewed some of your other questions, I would have to say that you do go out of your way to make your remarks as inflammatory as you possibly can. It does not seem to me as if you really want to learn the answers as much as you want to make hurtful remarks. In this medium people cannot see your face or your body gestures. So the wording of your questions becomes critical. If you are truly not trying to incite people to anger and hatred, then before you post reverse the question so that it would apply to you and if you get offended by the words, then so will others.

in answer to the rest of your questions about the bible, it was written by men as were all of the books of religions. None of the various Gods that people worship came down and wrote the books. Men said they were inspired by whatever God they believe in to write the book or chapter, but NO God took pen in hand and wrote it. Then, centuries have passed since the originals were written, languages change and the translations change and the ideas that religious leaders want to put forward change. That goes for any of the religious books regardless of the religion.

As far as your link above, I am not real familiar with that passage. However, if Jesus did go, remember he was human with human frailties. He wanted to see the festival but not be recognized. I would guess that if he went with his followers, then he would be recognized and that was not part of the plan. Sort of like some of the movie stars of today. Beyond that I cannot help you.

Too often, christians assume that everyone not only knows all about their particular version of christianity, but also agrees with it. Add to that the idea that one of the main premises of christianity is unquestioning belief and you have a situation where they don't have an answer prepared because they have never thought about it. They simply take things that are told to them form their local clergy without questioning the source, the validity, or the reasoning for it. By asking them questions, you place them in a position where they have to defend a position that they themselves don't fully understand and can only accept and parrot back the platitudes and vagueries that they have memorized. Then when they can't answer, they get angry for not knowing and take it out on the one who asked the question, or on the next person to ask one. Sad, but true...

I am a Christian and I LOVE to talk about my faith, my religion. I believe that many people are going to believe what they believe. I may state my beliefs but I do not browbeat or insult anyone. The LORD told us not to worry about such things. Everyone has a chance to experience Christ and if they reject Him, that is between them and God. Most people on this forum get upset instead of trying to treat one another lovingly. So sad.

You did not ask about our religion. Look at your starting premise. Read the verses you quoted carefully. Your opening statement falls flat on it face.

Well what can we expect from someone who follows a violent religion based on teachings by a plagiarist, a polygamist and a warmonger.

I don't know from where you are getting your Christian respondent?
I can tell the same for any believer in anything when you challenge his belief and he does not have enough knowledge to answer. Try in politics, in religion and even in business.

Most likely they were offended. You did not "ask a question" about their religion or just "talk with them" about their religion, you went out of your way to insult their religion. Many people put their whole lives into their religion, and insulting someone's lifestyle or religion is usually not taken as a positive thing. If someone continuously insulted you, and took things you said and turned them around and twisted them so that what you said was actually insulting to yourself (sorry, did that make sense), you'd probably get more than a little angry.

Just my two cents.

My dad gets really pissed any time I talk to him about religion. He's Christian and I'm agnostic. I think it's because he can't answer questions I have, or when he does answer, I have another question for him. I imagine it's out of frustration, but I'm the one getting frustrated receiving answers that make no sense or being told that I'm stupid and need to do my research.

I've done lots of research, but I'm right back where I started wondering how people can believe it word for word and take everything that's told to them at face value.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that a lot of anger comes out of frustration and feeling like you're not understanding their point of view. Everyone feels that way, but you get it 10 times fold from people who are so sure that they are right.
