My mom thought it was a good idea for my dad to read me bible stories when I was a kid, but I drove him nuts because I questioned everything. I dabbled in agnosticism for a while, but thought i was being wishy-washy, so I was an atheist by 9 years old.

No one person. When I was 9 years old I found a Bible in my fathers bookshelf. It was a Gideon New Testament with the simple plan of salvation in the back. I read how man is by nature a sinner, and Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to pay for all mankind's sin. That day I prayed and asked the Lord Jesus to forgive me of my sin and I asked Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
When I was 16, I went to church for the first time and made certain of my commitment to Christ. Through the years I served my Lord Jesus Christ in many capacities. When I was forty I began to study for the ministry. After 14 years as a mechanic for a major airline, I resigned and am now pastoring in a Baptist church in the San Francisco Bay area.
I am grateful to be a Christian, and thank the Lord for His help in both the good and difficult times of life.
I thank the Lord for the Gideons who gave my father that little New Testament.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Ro 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9,10

None of the above. I found a fact sheet on the history and teachings of the Baha'i Faith in my college dorm lobby. I was excited about it immediately as what I read seemed to be what I already believed. After two years of study I finally met Baha'is and I asked how to be a member of that faith at that time. That was 38 years ago and I have never been disapointed. I've had a full life of happiness, service and unity. Through good times and bad the Faith has been there to guide me and carry me forward. I love the Baha'i Faith and it's Founder Baha'u'llah so much. I'd encourage anyone to invesitage it and examine it's wonderful teachings. www.bahai.org and www.bahai.us are good places to begin. Enjoy!

An ex biker outlaw, nick named Flame. He was a co-worker that noticed that I was down and out because my girlfriend broke up with me. He gave me the gospel of Christ and I did the the salvation prayer in his car for fire insurance. 20 years later the Spirit of God came upon me and now I am a Spirit Filled Christian who has been delivered from every bondage!

Monika, a German lady, introduced me to my religion. My religion is KNITTING.
My miracle was that knitting cured the arthritis in my right hand. I spend money on knitting and make friends. We get together at my knitting studio and knit in a circle.
I am a priestess of knitting, I offer lessons to beginners, basic, intermediate and advanced knitters. They spend money on yarn and notions, and I sell both of those.Knitting is a forgiving religion; mistakes can be ripped out and reknit. We create our masterpieces and admire each others' work.
It is satisfying and produces calm and a feeling of serenity and completeness in the brain for both men and women.

I'd love to know the truthful answer from so-called religious people to your question, because many of them say that they believe in God, yet refuse to answer or discuss the following.
Did your parents tell you that God existed, or your teacher, or preacher, or did you read it in the Bible, or did you just wake up one day and discovered God existed?
Science doesn’t know yet if the universe was created or not. However, if we assume the universe was created, then it’s reasonable to assume there was a creator. That’s as far as science has progressed today. Some of the best brains in the world just don’t know.
Religious people don’t say we hope God exists, and we hope God is good, they state that God definitely does exist and then go on to provide a whole list of supporting evidence they call facts. So if science doesn’t accept religious evidence that God exists, when did you first realise God existed and what supporting evidence do you have if any?
Religious people should stop telling lies, and learn to admit the truth. Religious people don’t know if God exists, they only hope that God exists and the rest of their so called supporting evidence of God’s existence is nothing more than man-made speculative conjecture and wishful thinking – commonly referred to as lies.
So why do religious people lie? They do it for money, power and control of gullible minds, which makes religion evil
I am not religious.
