You may have damaged a nerve ending. See a dentist.

If you hit the FLOOR with your tooth and there are no visible chips, I'd bet that the root of the tooth actually fractured up under the bone somewhere. If this is the case, the gum and periodontal ligament are holding the fractured piece in place, but even very slight pressure will cause a very sharp pain. You NEED an x-ray to determine what is wrong. It is possible to "sprain" a tooth, but that kind of injury will resolve itself and by the 4th day, it would be startign to feel somewhat better. If you are not getting any better, I think you may have broken your tooth.

You teeth may be cracked even though it might not look like so to you. Your dentist will take dental x-rays to determine the extend of damage. The are several procedures that could be done to restore your teeth depending on the nature of injury. Ignoring the pain is not a wise thing to do. If the teeth is broken or chipped, it could lead to tooth decay in the long run and believe me you don't want to go that route. I have been there and it is devastating. Tooth decay will mean increased pain, possibility of loosing your teeth and more money will be need to repair your teeth. Take care.

If it's not loose, it should be ok. It probably wouldn't hurt to see your dentist, just to make sure none of the roots were knocked loose.

visit a dentist to make sure that your teeth are vital, cause if they lost their vitality you should go under root canal therapy AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to avoid root resorption and other trauma consequences.
