am too,is a vegetarian. i m not sure if ur to follow my recommendation. mostly i drink fortified non dairy milks such as soybean milk. plants foods that provide calcium and offer things are good for the bones: vitamin k --in leafy greens, vit. c, potassium and magnesium in fortified orange juices.
leafy greens have also folate good for the heart. beans , nuts, non-citrus fruits are good sources of boron.
leafy green vegetables: calcuim are: kale, brocolli, collard greens and soymilk absorbed about the same percentages as that in cow s milk.
spinach, swiss chard and beet greens is not well absorbed, due to their high content of oxalates whic bind calcium
many nondairy milks are now fortified with with calcium, vit. d, vit.b-12, many orange juices and other juices are fortified with calcium.
: MAKE SURE YOU SHAKE CALCIUM FORTIFIED NON-DAIRY MILK BEFORE POURING AS THE CALCIUM CAN SETTLE ON THE BOTTOM!

hehehe...if you dislike dairy, then just make the jump to being vegan... :)
and no, beauty b, vegans are NOT boring! unless any vegan you know is a *boring* person, then i can't help you on that one, it wouldn't matter what dietary conscience they had... :P
i find vegan dishes to be some of the most varied, exotic, healthful, humanitarian, satisfying, and tasty foods around! ;)
try some Pennette Positano with tomatoes/basil, eggplant and zucchini, and tell me *that* is boring! :P
