Why have you let this go on for so long?
Surgery, yeah, that might be a plan.

homoeopathy is good. What homoeopathy doctors don't tell you is that there are 4 or 5 medicines for every disease or more and the doctor has to get the right symptom and then give the medicine. If he or she does not know the right medicine because of some reason or the other, then you will not get any relief.
you have two options tell the doctor that there is no improvement and he, maybe has to change the medicine. (II option) change to a good doctor who has the reputation of curing diseases very quickly.if you get her operated then the result is Asthma.I have a friend who had it operated when he was 14 and now he is suffering till today he is 46 years old .Please don't listen to some Dumb Idiots and push your daughter into a worse problem.
Do you know that many westerners have been operated for some problem or the other . Many closed minded people know only one system unlike us. Take thee help of a good Homoeopath.Homoeopathy came into existence only in the 19th century because of a great Human being. Dr.Hanneman. These people who don't know anything about homoeo medicines don't have a right to talk about it or advice anyone. If they don't go for Alternate medicine it is their funeral. Why pass it on to others. Homoeopathy,Ayurveda,Varma.Siddha are fantastic. GO TO THE RIGHT DOCTOR

Gangadharan, whatever that is, nice going. Nothing like scaring this parent half to death. For crimeny sakes...! First rule when getting medical attention for your child, is it working? NO? Then do something about it! Something different! Know what I mean? Duh! Homeopathy is lame. I'm telling you. Don't let your sick little daughter suffer when she can be rid of those damn tonsils in one day and over with it. Homeopathy has no place in a growing childs life when it comes to her health. It may be as simple as placing tubes in her ears. Why prolong her suffering? She is looking to you to make the smart decision. So do it!!!!!Put your beliefs aside and take her to the hospital, get the surgery and let her be healthy. It sounds like the homeopathy is going to end up making her an invalid. For crying out loud, wake up and have the tonsils removed...and since you have let it go on for so long after a true diagnosis, have her ears checked too for any middle ear infections (otitus media) which when left to itself can cause pneumonia and she can die!!!!!

Ya... Surgery is the best solution. Believe I'm a final yr. medical student, and as far as my knowledge is, Surgery is the best option for tonsillitis.
As a patient too, i'll give u the same advice, coz when I was 13, I had the same problem and got it removed .i.e. Tonsillectomy. Why are u afraid of the Surgery so much?, it's a simple operation and will take 25-30 minutes only if everythiong goes fine.

Suggested course of action - start PRANAYAM. Deep breathing for 5 minutes, Anulom Vilom for five minutes and Kapal Bharti for 5 minutes. These three steps will go a long way relieving the present condition. You may get some good book on Pranayam (suggetion: By Aiyangar or Baba Ram Deo) and start right away. God willing she will not have to under go surgery. God bless her The duration may be gradually increased to 10 minutes each.

a child should NEVER be on homeopthic treatments. there are too many dangers even for adults. my suggestion is get the tonsils out now.
you did not say which medication she has been on, but along with not feeling 100% the medication could actually have this as a side effect. i am speaking from experience here!
there are more pro's to tonsil removal than con's. i would get them out as healing time is less, the younger you are.
does she suffer from allergies? if so, tonsil removal will help some of her allergens and will no longer cause a flare up. this is a chronic issue as its been going on longer than 3 months.
acute means that it happens quick with side effects. this has been going on longer than what we would consider acute.
if this stems from a virus, your doing more harm than that of good as the longer the virus is attacking, the more side effects and the less chance of a full recovery as sometimes damages done are not fully reversable.
i would further like to state that viruses play a much heavier role in cancers these days as cells are found when certain cancers are biopsied.
do the right thing! get those tonsils out and try from now on not to rely on homeopathic medicine. chances are most of it goes down the toilet! (studies being done going on 2 years in NY and CA) and as of yet, they have not found too many benifits!

She doesn't not have Acute tonsilitis, she has chronic at this point.
If outpatient treatment has failed, she is losing weight, having problems breathing, etc... then yes surgery is the only solution at this point.
if you are unsure have a second opinion by an ENT.

Surgery is not done for acute tonsillitis, but for chronic tonsillitis, affecting health, growth and schooling. If she is having recurrent attacks, another option is monthly injections of benzathine penicllin, which is long- acting penicillin. One shot per month is enough to prevent streptococcal tonsillitis and rheumatic fever.

There are different opinions among the medical community regarding the removal of tonsils. Please take allopthic treatment if and when your child is infected with tonsillitis to avoid further complications. Beware of rhumatic fever which finally affect the valves of the heart.
Please see the webpages for more details on Tonsillitis and Rheumatic fever.
