i recently purchased a truck in which i never got around to transfering ownership ,the registration just expired and when i went to find title its lost.any way to get title without bothering prev owner?

i would look a little better, but you should be able to get it with a bill of sale. you probably don't have one if you got the title though.

You can't. The previous owner will need to apply for the replacement title and then sign it over to you. (Having a bill of sale isn't going to help with the title. You need the original title, signed over to you by the seller.)

If at all possible, they'll need to apply for a "quick title" if you state offers that service since you're not going to be able to register (or operate) the vehicle until the title comes in.

If you lost the title, you have no choice, the title is still in the previous owners name. You'll have to have them apply for a new title with you present and they will then, legally transfer it from his to your name. It will come in the mail in your name. goodluck
