My jaw and ear aches, joint pains, coughing up brown sputum, teeth cracking, can't sleep, throat feels sore, hard to swallow at times, and sometimes feels swollen

Went to doctor, she saw it, said it didn't really look like strep, tested, but not called so I'm wondering what is happening, I have had mono. Throat doesen't hurt to swallow anymore, but white areas still there

Sounds like you have some kind of infection (that's what those white patches are - your body's fighting something). Hopefully it's some kind of bacteria so you can get antibiotics. If it's a virus you're SOL and will have to suffer through on your own. Go see your doctor in the morning, unless it's really bad then try urgent care tonight. If you do end up with antibiotics remember to take ALL of them - even if you're feeling better after a couple of days.

Good luck and sorry you feel so icky!

sounds like strep throat to me. go to doc, get a prescription for zithromax and it'll be knocked out in 2 days.

White areas usually equal pus, which equals bacterial infection most of the time.
Though you could have mono, etc..
Go in to the doc and get treated.
